Merlin Hawk Soaring over the Rockies

This merlin, for about a half hour, was swooping down on and hunting other birds.
The backdrop to this action was the steep glacier-carved mountain ridges of the Main Ranges of the Rockies. A great place to be on a sunny day, whatever species you are.
