This image was only so-so until this dipper entered the scene. She (or he) gave the placid gold and white reflections of larch and snow another dimension - that of time.
Focus was set for the dipper itself. I didn''t worry too much if much else of the image was sharp, due to the already painterly effect of the reflection.
