Opabin Basin is perhaps the mother lode for backcountry hikers in Yoho National Park. The area has a special intricacy of water and rock meadows that inspires repeat visits.
Using the maximum depth of field my lens could muster also served to show the satiny smooth texture of the small waterfall. Hikers often lounge on the rock plateau adjacent to the lake, seen in the middle of the image.
