Waking to an inch of snow on my tent, blue skies and the promise of golden trees was incentive enough to hike up to Opabin Basin to spend the day. Warmth from the sun and a slight breeze were working to shed snow from this sub-alpine larch tree as I worked to capture a sunstar formed through the foliage.
