Athabasca Pass, right on the Continental Divide, likely has more bears walking through it than people. Indeed, I saw two bears during my first day at the pass.
Many mountain images are brought to life by morning or evening sunlight. The clouds gave way to sunlight only for a half hour on this day, illuminating the red seed pods of saxifrage which occupy wet areas of the pass.
