Come and visit the town of Golden. Many have, and have stayed. You've got wild alpine basins like this within a days foot travel. Lots of them. The entire Canyon Creek drainage is unroaded and provides habitat for wildlife, like grizzly bears.
For this image, I waited for the afternoon sun, then adjusted the lens to keep both the foreground seedheads of Western Anenome and the mountains in focus.
